Private Day Tour in Siena

Pleasant tour in medieval history to discover unique monuments. The entrance to the Duomo will be unforgettable to admire all its magnificence and harmony. The history and ancient traditions of the kitchen will become very familiar to you, so much so that you can reproduce the recipes even at home. Sienese cuisine is patriarchal, it comes from the countryside. In many respects it is similar to the Tuscan one, but if we think of vegetable soups: in Siena they prepared them with a few more aromatic herbs, such as calamint, thyme, ginger, which give a symphony of smells and flavours. Here the dishes are called godende. The Sienese love everything that belongs to the table and its pleasures. All the toponymy here speaks of food, just think of the names of alleys such as Malcucinato or Salecotto. Not to mention the wine: in the province of Siena there are 5 D.O.C.G. and 14 D.O.C. 3-course lunch in a selected trattoria or tavern to savor the historic dishes of Siena. Included in the tour price.

The Maremma

Maremma is considered the new Eldorado for its powerful and elegant wines, wild and shining landscapes. The typical local cuisine is Mediterranean. The people of Maremma are the most outspoken in Italy. History will take us back in time to the Etruscans.

The Godfather Saga from Catania

This hidden gem is tucked away in a small, remote Sicilian town, surrounded by elegantly stylish buildings that are works of art in themselves. The very name of the place conjures cinematic memories of the Paramount classic *The Godfather*, a masterpiece that immortalized Sicilian heritage on screen. Yet, it also invites the age-old debate within the linguistic community over the origins of the enigmatic Sicilian term *Mafia*—a word shrouded in mystery and intrigue. The town is steeped in the legends of a conservative yet opportunistic past, embodied by its cathedral. Here, a 14th-century black wooden crucifix and a collection of evocative paintings by Brother Felice da Sambuca await admiration in solemn silence, offering visitors a poignant glimpse into its storied history.
