Pisa Lucca And Lunch At A Tuscan Winery From La Spezia

This excursion from the port of La Spezia is perfect for families and active adults who don't want a long touring day or lots of driving. Our itinerary includes a brief stop in Pisa to take photos of the Leaning Tower and other monuments on the Field of Miracles, three hours in the beautiful walled city of Lucca, and a generous, homemade lunch and wine tasting at a family-run winery in the Montecarlo di Lucca wine region.

Embark on a short journey from La Spezia to Pisa, home to one of Italy's most iconic landmarks, the Leaning Tower and Lucca, a city that effortlessly weaves together history, culture, and charm. Encircled by its intact Renaissance walls, Lucca stands as a testament to centuries of artistry and architectural splendor. The first stop is Pisa, globally famed for its iconic Leaning Tower. Arriving in this historic city, feel the echoes of the past in its streets and squares. Next, head to Lucca, a city retaining its medieval and Renaissance charm. Encased in imposing walls, Lucca is a true Tuscan jewel, with cobblestone streets, elegant palaces, and historic churches. You'll have an hour and a half to explore the historic center and stroll along the ancient walls. Head to an unnamed local farm, participate in a tasting of selected wines and have lunch where the flavors of the terroir blend with the passion and art of winemaking.

From the port of La Spezia (or Carrara) we will start to drive on the main highway towards the charming walled city of Lucca, and incredible location with roman and medieval origins. You will have free time to explore the attractions and highlights of Lucca, shopping or wandering the city from above its majestic walls; a beautiful green space with excellent panoramic sites, you can even rent a bicycle and enjoy a ride on top of the walls! Around lunch time we will leave Lucca to head to the Tuscan countryside for lunch and Wine tastings in a family owned winery. NOTE: The cost for lunch and wine tastings varies depending on the winery chosen and ranges from Euro 30 (only wine tastings) to Euro 70 (wine tastings and lunch) per person. This fee will be charged directly to the traveler on the day of the tour.
