Italian Opera in Santa Monaca Church with Dinner


Embark on an exciting journey through the most famous Italian opera arias, by G. Puccini, G. Verdi, G. Rossini, W. A. Mozart, V. Bellini etc… performed by professional singers accompanied by piano. The evening is set in the heart of Florence in the beautiful Church of St. Monaca at via S. Monaca 6. Before the concert at 7.15 pm, a typical dinner awaits you at the 'Trattoria Napoleone', situated in Carmine Square n 24, 2 minutes walking from Santa Monaca Church. Menù: Mixed Tuscan appetizer (salami, fennel, Parma ham 24 crowns, polenta with sausage, polenta with mushrooms, polenta with liver pate.) First choice on site: Spaghetti with truffled carbonara. Tortelli mugellani with wild boar. Sienese pici with sausage sauce. Dessert: Warm apple pie with mascarpone cream and strawberry topping. More water, coffee and a glass of Napoleon red or white wine. For each course we offer vegetarian alternatives


Italian Route


Italian colonization in Santa Catarina began around 1835 and occupied several regions. On this tour we will show you a little bit of how it all happened. São João Batista: First stop will be in this small town that stands out as one of the biggest hubs of the footwear industry in southern Brazil. Nova Trento: Colonized by immigrants from Trentino Alto Adige. Let's get to know its main attractions, such as a charming artisanal winery that sells delicious colonial products, the Immigrant Museum, which has a collection of 8,000 pieces. Nova Trento is one of the main religious destinations in Brazil for housing the Sanctuary of Santa Paulina, the first Brazilian saint canonized by the Pope in 2002. Visit to the complex and the Basilica. Lunch will be held on a rural property that serves a delicious typical homemade Italian buffet. After lunch we head to Brusque, birthplace of the textile industry. Shopping time and return to the hotel.

Learn the history of Tuscany's wine region, gain insight into its significant grapes, and then put your new knowledge to the test as you sample 6 wines that prove why the area is beloved worldwide for its vino. With a group of no more than 9, you embark on a personalized journey into the world of wine, traveling back in time to the 13th century. Learn about the origins of chianti, the region's most internationally renowned wine, and the strict rules that must be followed for it to retain its name. Begin with the dry and crisp Vernaccia white wine, and then move on to bolder reds. Swirl, sniff, and sip floral Chianti, jammy Montepulciano, the famous Brunello di Montalcino and Super Tuscan red—a modern take on traditional chianti. Along the way, your host shares tips for pairing each of these wines with food, leaving you able to drink wine like a pro by the end of class.
