Excursion to discover the most beautiful baroque cities of Eastern Sicily, declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will visit Ragusa Ibla, with its alleyways and beautiful churches; Modica, famous around the world for chocolate prepared according to an ancient Aztec recipe; During the visit there will be a sweet break in a famous workshop, where the chocolate is still prepared according to the original recipe, imported from the Spanish people in 1500. Tour in the workshop and then tasting of the famous chocolate of Modica.

Exploring around the cobbled streets of the quintessential Baroque cities in Sicily. The tour begins in the city centre of Noto, considered the capital of the Sicilian Baroque. Called “The Garden of Stone” is known for its elegant buildings and intricate architectural elements. The walk through the city with our guide allows you to explore this beautiful city. The next stop is Modica, a city rich with historical buildings and a remarkable culinary tradition. Modica is also known for its chocolate, which you can taste, enjoying its unique and intense flavours. The final destination of our Baroque tour is Ragusa Ibla. The quaint passageways, the splendid buildings, and the Hyblean Gardens create an idyllic and cinematic setting.

The Barocco transfer includes: Departure at 8.30 am, arrival in Ragusa Ibla 10.00 am (stop of about 2 hours). Departure for Modica – during the journey we will make a small stop of about 40 min. for a tasting of the famous Modica Chocolate. Departure for Noto (stop of about 2 hours + lunch break). Return to Syracuse. Our cars are registered for public use, equipped with the required municipal permits and have free access to limited traffic areas and to preferential lanes in all cities. This experience includes the self-guided tour of the Baroque cities. The tour lasts 8 hours and includes transport only, you will have about 1 hour and 30 to visit each city. You will meet your driver in Syracuse and start the tour with a visit to the beautiful Baroque city of Noto. At the end of the visit, among breathtaking landscapes made of large canyons, steep cliffs and wooded areas of olive and carob groves you will continue towards Ragusa Ibla where you will have free time to visit this beautiful village. As a last stop you will go to Modica where you can discover the chocolate workshops and do some shopping.

RAGUSA Ibla/MODICA: Free visit of Ragusa Ibla, the oldest part of the city, where most of the Baroque churches and buildings are concentrated. You will visit the Portal of St.Giorgio, the Hyblean Garden, the church of S. Giuseppe, Palazzo Arezzo, the Circle of Conversation and the Splendid Cathedral of San Giorgio. Continue to Modica, the ancient capital of the county of the same name. Starting from the scenic Cathedral of San Giorgio, located in the upper part of the town, through picturesque alleys and steps you will reach Modica Bassa to visit the baroque church of San Pietro, Palazzo Tedeschi, the Garibaldi theater.
