I'm Katia and me and my uncle Fulvio run the Tuscan cooking class in our family farmhouse. We are 4 km far from the fantastic town of San Gimignano and we teach you how to prepare a real Tuscany meal but most important we teach you how the food should taste. Your meal will be a celebration and a fantastic time to spent in a real Tuscany family. We'll make a lot of typical Tuscany antipasti, then we prepare primi piatti, and we make one type of pasta hand made, two different sauces for pasta, and then a second course with meat.

The cooking classes take place in the kitchen and terrace overlooking the landscape, the hills and mountains of Umbria and Tuscany. For the classes we will use only fresh, seasonal, and local products. The lessons include the preparation of 2 kinds of pasta ( tagliatelle and ravioli), or gnocchi, 2 sauces ( tomatoes and sage sauces or pesto) and a dessert. So you will learn to make pasta (with love!), how to use the rolling pin, the pastry board, the pasta machine and other tools for dough, ravioli and different kinds of pasta. At the end, for lunch, we eat together what we made. Water, white or red wine for all!

Our dynamic team of cooks, tutors and interpreters will guide our guests on a voyage of discovery of traditional cooking, preparing the most typical of the local dishes, home made pasta with sauces of organic seasonal vegetables from our kitchen garden, melt in the mouth home made gnocchi, bruschetta, second courses like Vin Santo chicken or eggplant parmigiana, delicious desserts.. .all accompanied by our own Chianti Colli Senesi wine. The courses are organized for small groups (2 to 14 pax) and make the most, both our own produce, wine, honey, saffron, extra virgin olive oil, our fresh garden vegetables and also other local produce from neighboring farms. The classes start in the morning at 10.30 ending with a delicious lunch or in the afternoon around 15:30 ending with a wonderful dinner, to celebrate the joy of cooking with all the delicious dishes we have prepared together.
