You might have heard the word “aperitivo” once or twice if you have Italian friends, and this is an "Italian Aperitivo with Monte Cassino History and the Gustav Wine". I will serve you a "finger food dinner of delicious local products" with a unique experience in which I like to interact in order to exchange and offer historical information about Cassino, answer any questions and illustrate focal points regarding some sites of the battle of Cassino in WWII, with a lot of interesting maps and pictures and original information not easy to find in the classic tourist itinerary, wich give very different perspectives of the battlefield behind the Monastery of Monte Cassino. Not only, this is a good opportunity to have a special wine taste of the "Gustav Wine"; a bottle of a unique wine of which I invented the label, inspired by the vines I saw growing, during my walks on the paths around Monte Cassino.

Wines tour and tasting with history in Atalaia
"You will be welcome hearing about the winery history through time. How the family business were, how the winery worked before cars appeared in the village and why there was a necessity to grow and become what we are today. When the guide visit begins, it will be explained how the process of wine making was made here while visiting the winery. The visit ends with an animated video showing exactly what was explained to the group, since the grape in the vineyard until the wine is bottled and off course, with the wine tasting. The wines will be tasted one by one, having time to explain the complexity and differences of each wine.
The winery offers the possibility for our clients to take some souvenirs at our wine shop, where wines that were tasted are for sale, as well as another types of products like honey, jam, canned fish, flavoured salt, assorted pates and other Portuguese typical products.
