Join us for a remarkable and spectacular demonstration of the Glass Masters of "The Glass Cathedral" which is dedicated to the love of working with Murano Glass. The most complete glass blowing demonstration on the island of Murano surrounded in a one of a kind ambiance ( inside a former XIIth century Church which was a glass factory already in 1826). You will be surrounded by soft music and the beautiful works of Murano Glass.  Here, you will be able to observe the masters at work  and watch as they create two original pieces before your eyes.   The demonstration is 25 minutes long and you may be able to sip a good glass of Prosecco or have a drink while enjoying your stay with us.

Do you want to learn about the inner workings of a real Murano workshop? Are you tired of the endless tourist traps around Venice and Murano? Look no more! With this experience, I want to show you what a real glass factory looks and feels like, understand the production process of glass from sand to a bespoke piece, and watch real Murano Glass Masters while they blow glass (explanation in English). What you will experience: First, in the Batch Room the place where it all starts: Here, sand and other chemicals are mixed to perfection to obtain glass that will melt once charged into a 1400°C furnace. Next, in the Hotshop where the magic happens: You will learn about the glass melting process, from chemical mix to molten glass, how the furnaces work, and an overview of all the tools we use. Last, in the Coldshop where the glass starts to shine! You will see all the machines used to carve, drill, cut, flatten, and polish glass.

Get ready to discover the Murano island, witnessing artistry in action in its glass factories, experiencing the lampwork tradition by creating your own Venetian bead and visiting the Byzantine-style 12th century mosaics of its churches. You will have a personal glass lampwork workshop, in which you will create your own Venetian bead, keeping alive a 17th century artistic practice. We will visit the oldest glass factory in the world active since 1295 and see how tradition is combined with contemporary design and creativity. Our demonstration of glass working is one the best experiences. You will see a Glass Master using different techniques to produce artworks in front of your eyes. The Glass Master is still using the same techniques that have been using for centuries. You will be amazed by this experience! A representative of the glass factory will explain all the different steps of the production and after the demo you will visit the showroom. And an artistic glass item will be given to you as a gift!

A fantastic experience in the heart of the Food Valley to discover two world-class products: Parmigiano Reggiano and Parma Ham. After your short train ride, from Bologna or Modena, we'll meet in Parma and head to a dairy producer to see live the different stages of Parmigiano Reggiano production. At the end, enjoy a small tasting of two different ages accompanied by some local wine. Afterwards, we will head to the hills and visit a ham factory to learn about the production and characteristics of Parma Ham. At the end of the visit, you will taste some prosciutto with a glass of wine before returning to the Parma train station.
