Tour Around the Lake Albania from Ohrid and Struga


By bus or minivan, you will visit the village of Lin, to experience the true Albanian local way of living. At first you will have the opportunity for a small coffee break. Active yourself with a short walk in this ancient village and optional you will have the opportunity to walk until you explore the ancient roman basilica and the astonishing view around it. We highly recommend to do so! On the way to our next stop, you will visit the bunkers that were built by the communistic regime of Enver Hoxha. This beautiful spot is a perfect place for memorable pictures. Afterwards, the tour will continue to the city of Pogradec. From here on, you will visit the local marketplace, the town park, the boulevard and statues. While walking our guide will provide cultural explanation about the patriarchal and modern differences in the Albanian culture. Before heading back to Ohrid, you will have some free time for lunch and a photo stop will be made at the prehistorical Bay of Bones.

Tour Gjirokaster,Blue Eye & Lekursi Castle


The fascinating old centre of Gjirokaster is on UNESCO’s World Heritage list. Largely medieval, with some lovely architecture to admire, reflecting the town’s wealthy past, it is built on a hill overlooking a valley and mountains. This interesting museum will give a good impression of the way of living in Albania during the Ottoman period. On our way back to Saranda, we will pass from the national park Syri I Kalter. In this peaceful forest, we will walk (15 min) to the crystal clear spring called Blue Eye, where 900 m3 water per minute is coming from deep down the earth. If time permits, there will be a short coffee break at the restaurant next to the fast streaming river in the park, before heading back to the port of Saranda.

TIRANA Walking Tour: Discover the ever-changing capital city


Albania's capital city of Tirana is like no other Balkan capital cities with its iconic high-rise architecture and redesigned public spaces, and its delayed 'Dolce Vita' atmosphere of cafes and restaurants. Our half day walking tour will start at the very heart of the city's Monumental Center, where we will observe the strong differences between the overbearing communist buildings of the Palace of Culture and the National History Museum, versus the Italian governmental buildings of the 1920s by the Italian architect Armando Brasini. As we will walk by the statue of Albania's national hero Skenderbeg, we will head to the Et’hem Bey Mosque and the Watch Tower – reminders of Tirana's 17th and 19th centuries expansion, and later its twentieth century turbulent history. We will have a chance to walk on by the newly reopened Toptani castle, and the stone Tanner's Bridge, followed by a quick stop at the Pyramid and a visit to the Blloku area, along with the dictator's Enver Hoxha villa.
