Dinner In The Madonie Mountains

We will reach San Mauro Castelverde which is truly one of the most beautiful mountain villages in the Madonie Regional Park. It’s Located at an altitude of 1050 metres, it’s famous for its medieval Churches and the typical small squares where you can admire a beautiful landscape of the mountains and the sea. After this unforgettable visit we will reach the ‘’Trattoria La Posada’’ , which is located in Karsa a small hamlet of San Mauro and run by a very hospitable family, where a real Sicilian feast will be offered to you. The chef Rosa will be also happy to show you the secret of her culinary art and everything you will taste will be produced from organic ingredients produced on the surrounding farms. To keep us company during the dinner some typical Sicilian music will be played until late night.

The adventure continues with dinner at the chalet immersed in the woods and the exciting descent from the mountain with the night jeeps.

With the jeeps we will reach the panoramic points with a view of the Madonie and the Turquoise coast at sunset, we will continue in the direction of the mountain chalet located inside the woods to enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner with local products. Finally the adventurous and exciting descent with the jeeps at night via ancient dirt roads inside the Nebrodi park. Departure 5.00pm / 7.00pm depends on the season.

Arrival at the village of Pollina where we will visit the pink stone theater with a superb and unique view of the Madonie, in perfect time with the sunset for a good aperitif on the terrace overlooking the Aeolian Islands. The adventure continues in the direction of the village of Castelbuono with a tour through small "alleys" and dinner in a local trattoria based on typical products – it continues, at night through off-road routes, in the direction of the "briganti" bridge located in the valley of the gorges of Tiberius in the Madonie park where once the brigands waited for the carriages of the traders to collect the passage tax. Also via off-road routes you go up the valley surrounded by centuries-old olive trees with the possibility of sightings of numerous nocturnal animals – Arrival at the ancient villages of the mills of San Mauro, enchanting small villages set in the mountains – return on a panoramic coastal road. at night! to try absolutely!
