Journey to the Arctic Circle from Fairbanks for a first-hand experience of the Earth’s northernmost circle of latitude in one of our climate-controlled vans. Here, in the summer and winter, the sky is completely dark or light for 24 hours a day! Travel along the Dalton Highway, made famous by the TV show "Ice Road Truckers", and spot wildlife (no guarantee) as you cross the Yukon River. When you arrive, learn about the area’s indigenous culture, take a walk with your guide, snap photos of the arctic landscape, and enjoy a snack and beverage amidst the incredible surroundings. You’ll take home an official Arctic Circle certificate to commemorate this amazing Alaska experience. Make sure to dress weather appropriate and we recommend to wear some sturdy shoes to be able enjoy this trip.


Arctic Circle and Northern Lights Tour from Fairbanks


Travel along one of the world’s most isolated roads from Fairbanks to the Arctic Circle on this memorable 12 to 14-hour tour through the Alaskan wilderness. In the company of an experienced guide with a passion for Alaska, journey up the Dalton Highway, passing by the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, crossing the Yukon River, and reaching the edge of the Arctic Circle. On the drive back, watch for the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis). This tour is limited to 9 guests to ensure that you enjoy a small-group experience in one of our climate-controlled vans. Please note that we cannot guarantee the Northern Lights sightings and we can't guarantee last minute bookings. We do encourage each guest to rotate seats at least a few times on this tour.

We will cross the arctic circle line where you can take some photos and videos. We focus on making sure we are getting the best photos of the Aurora by "chasing" it with a vehicle and stopping when we think its a good time to take photos. This snowmobile tour is made for anyone who would like to have a bit more than just a taste of it, but to not commit to spending a whole day on a snowmobile. You will enjoy the beautiful wintry scenery around the Arctic Circle area whilst driving through the local forests, where opportunities for photos are abundant during short stops we make.


Private Arctic Circle Expedition from Fairbanks


This is a small, private tour to the Arctic Circle. Passengers will be riding in a comfy 2025 Toyota Sequoia and brand new winter tires. Scheduling on the website is a bit tricky and doesn't allow for next day returns, just keep in mind the trip will take 10-12 hours depending on weather and how much time you'd like to spend at each location. We'll be travelling through mountain passes, river valleys, and possibly seeing the Northern Lights along the way. This tour is flexible and allows for you to request a stop anywhere along the way to stretch your legs, take photos, or even just enjoy the views. Our guides have years of experience driving on the Dalton Highway. On this tour you have the chance to see moose, wild caribou, wolves, the Alaska state bird (the ptarmigan) and other wildlife that live in the Interior of Alaska. As you drive along, your guide will share information about the plant life and other features you see, and share stories about the area. We stop at scenic points on they way, such as the mighty Yukon River, the Arctic Circle sign, Finger Mountain, and anywhere else you desire. We can make several stops for photos, or to explore the area.

The Arctic is such a magical place, offering special moments through and around the fjords during the twilight months that can only be found above the Arctic circle (this is because the sun does not rise above the horizon). Your newly learned skills will be rewarded with a Reindeer Sledge Driver’s License! Next, make your way to the Alaskan Huskies where you will find these beautiful, loyal, and energetic companions. Experience the Alaskan Huskies in action on a 500m long sleigh ride. Enjoy a traditional salmon soup lunch during your visit and listen to the local reindeer herders as they tell you more about the herding lifestyle and how it is to be a reindeer herder in the 21st century. After the farm visit, you will be taken to the Santa Claus Village where you will have some free time to explore at your own pace. After necessary safety precautions and instructions, your guide will lead you and your snowmobile towards the arctic nature. There, open your senses to the silence and snow-covered scenery, and prepare for fantastic photography points. Admire the north pole with friends and families while enjoying hot drinks and cookies. Note: Children under 140cm are travelling in the sledge pulled by the guide’s snowmobile. Children over 140cm could seat in the back of the snowmobile as passenger with full adult payment.
