From here the route begins on foot, a fascinating stage will be that on some extinct craters, eruptive vents and lava fractures. It will continue to Barbagallo craters at 3000 meters. From here you can observe the majestic Summit Craters and admire recent lava flows (01-12-2023), until you reach the inside of a lava flow channel. You will visit the effusive vent of the 2002 eruption and from here you will descend along the sands to Montagnola from where you will observe the Valle del Bove, a great volcano-tectonic depression. Breathtaking panorama that arouses in visitors a feeling of arcane power that few other places in the world can convey. The return walk by cable car allows you to take a last look at this enchanting lunar landscape, for about 4 hours of total walking

Your half-day adventure begins with a morning, midday, or afternoon pickup from your Punta Cana hotel, when you board a vehicle to head to the nearby Quad Ranch. Upon arrival, you will receive a safety briefing and learn the controls of an ATV. Once you feel confident, you can embark on an off-road journey through lush tropical forests and plantations. Stop to sample Dominican chocolate, coffee, and rum at a local farm before continuing on to the Taíno Ecological Park, where you'll have the chance to take a dip in the freshwater hot springs. The tour culminates with a stop at Macao Beach, a stretch of sand surrounded by limestone cliffs, where you'll have time to relax and shop for souvenirs. The duration of the tour will be around 3 to 4 hours depending on the the speed while driving the ATV. Time driving between visited locations and might depend on the flow of the group. Then we start the ascent (470mt positive level difference) on foot on a path surrounded by volcanic bombs and scoria, till we will reach the Central Crater at a height of 3300 mt, where we will stop to admire the greatness,the uniqueness and the processes of this extraordinary volcanic environment, combined with the spectacle of the panorama that can be enjoyed from the roof of Sicily (the visibility might change according to weather or volcanic conditions). The descent goes back along the same path, while the last part will be made inside little channels constituted by soft and friable volcanic scoria, on which you can walk easily without any problem adopting the necessary precautions, till a height of 2825 mt where we will get the off road vehicles for the trip back down to Piano Provenzana.

Next step arrival by 4×4 bus to the Volcanological Observatory, from here short trek to the top of the promontory of Pizzi Deneri qt. 3,000 meters. where, in absolute safety, we will be dominated by the Summit Craters. From the volcanological observatory you will wait for sunset and then return to Piano Provenzana.

The tour in the North side of Etna starts following the main road towards Nunziata Mascali, then continue going up the lava flow of 1928 in lava quarries, a stop near the chapel built by the devotees as thanks to the miracle to the village of Saint Alfio, then up to the craters Sartorius 1865 to make a walk of about 50 min. at about 1750 meters above sea level. From here visiting other natural sites of special interest and ancient and recent lava flows you get to the refuge Ragabo to 13:00, free time at disposal (lunch on option). Visit by walk to a lava cave, afterwards transfer to Gambino winery to make a tasting of wines and typical products of Etna. In the afternoon, return to hotel/place of start meeting points.
